Tribes, Wildlife & Zanzibar

Twelve days. Three completely different experiences of Tanzania — human, animal, oceanic. The trip that people describe, years later, as the one that ruined every holiday they took afterwards, because nothing quite measured up.

Day 1 – Arrival in Arusha

Your guide meets you at the airport. Transfer and overnight in Arusha. Evening briefing.

Day 2 – Arusha to Lake Eyasi

Drive south-west from Arusha through the Karatu highlands, descending into the Rift Valley toward Lake Eyasi.
Arrive at Lake Eyasi by mid-afternoon. Walk to the shore and enjoy a beautiful sunset at the Lake, watching the fishermen coming back to their village
Dinner & night in Eyasi

Day 3 – A day with the Hadzabe and the Datoga

Before sunrise, you set out with the Hadzabe hunters into the bush.
By mid-morning you return to camp and share moments with teh families discovering their daily life. Lunch and rest through the heat of the day. In the afternoon: visit to a Datoga blacksmith village. Iron forges in the open air — arrowheads, bracelets, tools — hammered from raw metal over charcoal fires, as they have been for generations.
Diner & night at Eyasi

Day 4 – Eyasi to Tarangire

Morning at the lake — a final walk, photographs in the early light, coffee on the terrace. Then the drive north to Tarangire National Park, a journey through highland villages and the Maasai steppe. Arrive by afternoon for your first game drive among the elephant herds.
Dinner & night in Tarangire area

Day 5 – Full Day in Tarangire

A full day in one of Tanzania’s most rewarding parks. Elephant herds of extraordinary size moving through ancient baobab forests. Lions in the fever trees. The seasonal river drawing wildlife from across the region during the dry months. Tarangire is the park that most visitors agree was the surprise of their trip.
Dinner & night in Tarangire area

Day 6 – Ngorongoro Crater

Drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the crater for a full-day game drive. 25,000 animals in a closed volcanic caldera — lions, elephants, hippos, wildebeest, zebra and the rare black rhino. One of Africa’s most extraordinary wildlife concentrations, and one of its most beautiful landscapes.
Dinner & night Ngorongoro area

Day 7 – Into the Serengeti

Cross the highlands and descend into the Serengeti. Game drive from the moment you enter the park. The landscape opens in every direction — the horizon retreating, the sky growing, the herds appearing. Overnight in the heart of the Serengeti.

Day 8 – Full Day Serengeti & Flight to Zanzibar

A final morning on the Serengeti plains — one last game drive, the lions still moving through the long grass, the light still extraordinary. Then the drive to Kilimanjaro International Airport and the afternoon flight to Zanzibar. Arrive on the island as the sun goes down.
Dinner & night in Zanzibar

Day 9-12 – Zanzibar

Beach relaxation, and sea activitties
Optional (additionnal costs) : visit of Stone Town, spice tour visit, boat excursion to Mnemba Island
Departure from Zanzibar
